Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro: With Snapdragon 8 Gen1, released in advance to March next year

The next generation of Mi MIX, the iteration cycle may be shorter than expected.

A whistleblower dug out that devices with model numbers 2202121C and 2202121AC were submitted for registration, and the brand was displayed as MIX, which is expected to correspond to Xiaomi MIX 5 and Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro, respectively.

In terms of R&D code, Xiaomi MIX 5 is codenamed Thor, and Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro is codenamed Loki. They are both sons of Xiaomi MIX 4 (Odin), and there are some logical relationships.

At the same time, the MIUI code shows that both phones are based on the SM8450 and are expected to correspond to the Snapdragon 898 or Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor, and are equipped with 4 cameras.

The release time is even more exciting. It should be advanced to March next year. It seems that the research and development work is going very smoothly whether it is Mi 12 or Mi MIX 5.

Such intensive promotion of high-end products not only demonstrates Xiaomi’s confidence in the supply chain stocking, but also obviously aims to impact the market and obtain a higher share.

According to plan, Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is expected to be released on December 1.
