The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are expected to debut early next year. Samsung has yet to confirm a launch date for the flagship Galaxy S23 series, although leaks have been plentiful. In a new update, renders of the upcoming Galaxy S23+ and the original Galaxy S23 have surfaced online. Leaked renders suggest that the new model has several design changes compared to the previous Galaxy S22+. The renders show a punch-hole display on the front to accommodate the selfie shooter. Additionally, the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 can be seen to feature a triple-camera setup on the back, with a single camera lens protruding from the body, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Well-known whistleblower Steve H.McFly (@OnLeaks) has teamed up with Smartprix to leak alleged renders of the Samsung Galaxy S23+. The leaked renders show the phone from all angles in shades of black. As mentioned earlier, the images show a punch-hole cutout in the center of the display. Additionally, the Galaxy S23+ can be seen to feature a triple rear camera unit and an LED flash. The upcoming phone may have a different rear camera setup compared to the Galaxy S22+.
In the rear camera panel, a single camera lens can be seen sticking out of the body and the sensor is ringed to look and feel similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Additionally, the power and volume buttons are located on the right spine of the phone, while the bottom edge houses a charging port and speaker grille.
According to leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S23+ will feature a 6.6-inch display. The upcoming phone is said to be taller and wider, measuring 157.7 x 76.1 x 7.6mm. By comparison, the Galaxy S22+ measures 157.4 x 75.8 x 7.6 mm.
The tipster has also teamed up with Digit to leak images of vanilla Samsung Galaxy S23 models. Renders suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S23 phone will feature a 6.1-inch display measuring 146.3 x 70.8 x 7.6 mm — slightly larger than the Galaxy S22 model that debuted earlier this year. Like the leaked Galaxy S23+ images, renders of the Galaxy S23 show a rear camera module similar to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 series in January or February. According to recent leaks, the upcoming model may be powered by the Exynos 2300 SoC. The Galaxy S23+ can also come with a 4,700mAh rated battery.
The Galaxy S22 series was launched in India in February this year. The Indian variants of the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
