We’ve seen a lot of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 leaks in recent weeks, including details on new colorways and specs from an FCC pass. Now, here are the possible pricing details.
According to 91Mobiles and tipster Yogesh, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will be priced above $149 but below $169 when it lands in the US, which is $50 less than the Galaxy Buds Pro’s list price in the country. It suggests the Buds 2 might not be a direct replacement for the Buds Pro as initially believed. Notably, the Buds 2’s rumored price would place it between the original Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds Live launch prices.
What else can we expect?
Early leaks suggest we can expect at least four colorways, including shades of pink and green. We also know from FCC details that the Galaxy Buds 2 will come with a square case packing a 500mAh battery. In addition, each bud will feature a 60mAh cell. Other tips point to the lack of active noise cancellation brought by the Buds Pro, which could owe to the Buds 2’s cheaper price.
It’s unclear when the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 will exactly debut. But there’s a good chance we’ll see them arrive alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, and Galaxy Watch 4 series at a rumored event set for early August. While the pricing details stem from a reliable source, we’d caution against counting those pennies just yet.
