On the evening of February 22, Huawei held a launch event. At the event, Huawei’s consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong officially released the new generation of folding-screen flagship mobile phone HUAWEI Mate X2.
In terms of price, the Mate X2 256GB is priced at ¥17,999, and the 512GB is priced at ¥18,999. It will be on sale on February 25.
Yu Chengdong also announced that the HarmonyOS operating system will be launched in April 2021, and Huawei Mate X2 will be the first batch to upgrade the HarmonyOS operating system.
In terms of screen, HUAWEI Mate X2 uses an 8:7.1 golden ratio flexible inner screen, overlying the first magnetron nano-optical film in the industry so far, effectively reducing the reflectivity of the screen. The external screen is 6.45 inches. Both screens are with dual high refresh rate and P3 wide color gamut.
The Mate X2 external screen uses the 21:9 mainstream display ratio, with a narrower frame and a larger display area. When using the internal screen divided, the application display area can be up to 100%.
In terms of folding technology, in addition to the zirconium-based liquid metal, the Mate X2 hinge system also introduces super-strong steel for the first time, which is resistant to impact and deformation. In addition, Mate X2 also uses a double-rotating water drop hinge, which can achieve better folding and minimize bending marks.
In terms of camera functions, the Mate X2 is equipped with 4 super-sensing Leica cameras, a 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor, a 100x binocular zoom, and a 2.5cm super macro.
In terms of hardware, Mate X2 is equipped with Kirin 9000 chip, a 5G dual card experience, slim and large amplitude dual speakers, and 55W Huawei super fast charge.
