Much has been said about Xiaomi’s next truly premium device, the Mi Mix 4. The phone is expected to be unveiled sometime next month, and what appears to be a display protector for the device has now leaked, and should excite fans of the series.
In a tweet published by popular tipster Ice Universe, what looks to be a glass display protector for the Mi Mix 4 was shown right next to a render of the device. The render itself isn’t news, as we already saw it months ago. The display protector, though, lends credence to the render, as it confirms that the Mi Mix 4 will, indeed sport an under-display camera (UDC).
The protector shows no cutouts for a hole punch and strongly hints at the groundbreaking bezel-less nature of the phone. That should come as no surprise, of course, as the Mi Mix series has always been intended to push the boundaries of smartphone design.
An under-display camera on the Mi Mix 4 would be Xiaomi’s first attempt, but companies like ZTE already have their own—admittedly lacking—takes. Samsung is also set to offer that technology on the imminent Galaxy ZFold3.
As previously mentioned, the Mi Mix 4 is expected to debut next month. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 888+, and is rumored to sport a FHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED, while bearing a price tag north of €1,199.
