I left the AirPods in the washing machine for a long time when washing clothes a few days ago. After I got them out, the first thing to do was shaking them to dry, then opened the box to see whether the light was still bright.
Then I wiped them dry. I tried many methods, like putting them in a small bag with a desiccant, putting them in the rice, and blow them with the hairdryer. Two or three days passed. There was a hum and noise in the AirPods. I think there must be water left, but I can’t get it out.
After that, I read a post that said to inhale (probably artificial respiration) to suck out the water! The water really came out! The noise is reduced! It’s much better than the useless work I did before, though my mouth and face really hurt.
By the way, the water outlet should be facing down so that the water will come out.
It sounds funny but it really works!
