One of the biggest reasons to use wired charging is that it tends to be way faster than wireless charging. In fact, it’s not uncommon to find phones that can be fully charged via a cable in way under an hour. Wired charging also historically has a reputation for being more efficient.

Wireless charging is very convenient though, as you don’t need to fiddle with a cable. All you need to do is set your phone down on the charging pad and you’re good to go. Wireless speeds do tend to lag behind wired charging speeds, but a few recent devices are stepping things up here.
