As early as last month at the Huawei Mate X2 launch conference, Yu Chengdong said that from April this year, Huawei’s flagship mobile phones can be upgraded to the Harmony OS 2.0 system, and the Huawei Mate X2 folding screen mobile phone will be the first batch of upgrades.
It has been posted about the upgrade plan of the Harmony system. The first batch of lists includes Mate X2, Mate 40 series, and P40 series.
According to previous reports, there are also P50 series and Huawei’s new tablets in the first batch of upgrades. However, due to the delay, these two models will be directly equipped with the Hongmeng system when they are released. In addition, Harmony OS 2.0 will also launch a smart screen version.
Huawei and Honor phones with mobile phone system versions EMUI 11.0 and Magic UI 4.0 will gradually complete the upgrade of the Harmony system within this year.
Some models of EMUI 10.1 and Magic UI 3.1 systems will also upgrade the Harmony system. Unfortunately, mobile phones using MediaTek Dimensity chips are not in this system upgrade plan.
According to Huawei officials, it is conservatively estimated that the equipment equipped with the Harmony system will reach 300 million units this year.
Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei Consumer BG Software Department, previously stated that Harmony OS is not a copy of Android, nor is it a copy of iOS. It is a panoramic operating system for the future IoT era.
Now it is just the beginning of the Harmony system. As a self-developed operating system, Harmony OS still has great potential for development, and it is hoped that the Harmony system can bring more meaningful changes in the future.
